After receiving my bachelors, I stayed on to attend the Binghamton University Graduate School of Education receiving a Masters in Social Studies Education grades 7-12 in January 2007. I continued my education through the spring taking an independent study on the unique social, emotional, physical, and mental development of middle school students extending my certification to include grades 5 and 6.

My husband and I are die-hard Caps fans and love to spoil "Rusty” our rescued Jack Russell terrier. He doesn’t seem to complain! In 2011, I fulfilled my New Year's resolution of reading one hundred books in a year, and remain an avid reader. :) My son was born in May of 2016.

During school holidays and summer vacations I enjoy traveling and learning! I continue to add new stamps to my passport, and find that the more I travel the stronger teacher I become. I also have a strong passion for traveling with students, as I enjoy watching them explore the world, broadening their horizons, and making personal connections. Previous adventures have included student trips to China, Italy and Greece!
